Introduction & Advance Acupuncture Course Syllabus & Curriculum

The Short & Intensive Clinical Acupuncture Courses designed for doctors, nurses, physiotherapists, osteopaths, naturopaths, chiropractors, homeopath and others.  The lectures, demonstrations and practice of Acupuncture techniques are using the special 'Integrated Medicine' between the Chinese Method and The Western Methods.

The Study will include:  The History of Medicine, Introduction to Acupuncture, Classical body acupuncture - 14 Acupuncture Channels or Meridians, Material and technique - The study of Yin and Yang, Contraindications and prohibited - Advance Acupuncture - Electro Acupunctyre - Chinese Philosophy - High Tech Evidance of Acupuncture - Different Technique of Acupuncture - Research Papers on Acupuncture - Information and Faq, Clinical at Hospital, needling, moxibustion, electroacupuncture.

To Complete Diploma Course: Student need to qualify minimum 150 Credit Hours.

For Master of Acupuncture : Student need to qualify minimum 350 credit hours.

Clinical / Practical: All student will be guided in Clinical / practical traning on patients at our Acupuncture & Homeopathic Hospital at main Campus at Pasir Mas, Kelantan.

Main Campus at Kelantan:

Daily Classes Started 9.00 am till 4.00 pm

Closed : Friday.

 Kuala Lumpur Campus: Those who wish to do clinical at Kuala Lumpur, may do so on Saturday, Sunday & Monday Only.

Our Acupuncture Studies are suitable for use in musculo-skeletal,  general., palliative, and sports medicine, anaesthetics, pain control and obstetrics / gynaecology

The Malay Acupuncture Group was set up by The Faculty of Homeopathy Malaysia in 10 April 1989 by a core group of the most active medical acupuncturist in Malaysia today headed by Prof Dr Nik Omar, Dr Mrs. Hajjah Faridah, Prof Mat Zin, Prof Mohd Nasir, Prof Che Musa and others. The qualified members now stands more than 1,000 from 25 countries all over the world.  It aims are the promotion of acupuncture in medicine especially among the Malays, the Arabs, and other Asian countries. It is also upgrading the educational training programme, and a grass-roots for the exchange of ideas, techniques and experience among the practitoners.

The Introduction and Advance Acupuncture Course at our academy draw upon the benefits of the many training courses currently available in Malaysia and China. The courses conducted by us is considered as the only one in Kelantan Malaysia and is relevant to GPs, hospital doctors, nurses, physiotherapies, MA, HA, Homeopath, osteopath, Naturopath,  and others and is based upon practical approach to give the confidence to start practising acupuncture immediately following the complete course.

The group of lecturers and tutors headed by Prof Dr Nik Omar, Prof Mohd Nasir and Nik Fairuz Hakim are considered as the best Malay acupuncturist in Malaysia.

DCMA FAHOM Lecturers

• Prof Dr Nik Omar is of the leading Acupuncture Specialist in Malaysia. He is more than 30 years in medical practice and has treated more than 1 million patients throughout the world. He is a Director of the academy and has been lecturing all over the world in Acupuncture. He has written more rhan 300 articles on various medical subject in local and international newpapers and magazine. His famous book are the Clinical Acupuncture & Moxibustion, The Clinical Cupping and the books on Homeopathic Medicines. He is consiered as one of the best lecturer and one of the leading World Acupuncturist ever produced by Malaysia.

• Prof Dr Mohd Nasir is a full time GP in alternative medicine and at present he is a Deputy Director The Faculty of Homeopathy Malaysia, Department of Clinicla Acupuncture. He has been practising homeopathy for more than 20 years. He received his Diploma in Acupuncture in 1990 and received distintion in Diploma in Acupuncture from our academy. Using acupuncture everyday in general practice, he is one of the first GP to secure regular FHOM funding for treating primary and secondary referrals.

• Ac Nik Fairuz Hakim,  Dipl.Ac (Kel)., D.Ac ( Colombo), M.Ac ( Spain), BHMS is a Registrar at the Department of Acupuncture, FAHOM. He is considered as one of the top lecturer in Acupuncture and master in the study of Channel and Meridians. He founded a special technique of teaching acupuncture with IT, Power Points, CD and LCD projector. He has a special skill in Sports Medicine in Acupuncture. In search of acupuncture knowledge, he has traveled to India, Pakistan and Sri Lanka.

• Ac Nik Badrul Hakim, Dip.Ac., DFHom., BHMS is one of our Tutor at Chinese Department. He teach Acupuncture Meridian to students all over the world. He also master in Cupping.

Acupuncture Information

Prof Dr Sir Nik Omar is a well known Malay acupuncturist in Malaysia and he head perhaps the biggest Acupuncture Research Institute in Malaysia and Nik Fairuz is a well qualified acupuncturist from our Research Institute and also from Colombo South General Hospital, Sri Lanka.

He is perhaps the youngest acupuncturist in Malaysia.
